Here’s a rundown of the lingo and other codes to help you look less like a total noob and more like a seasoned player. General Lingo

LFG: Looking For Group

LFM: Looking For More, can also be used with numbers (LF1M), etc.

DPS: Damage Per Second. Used to denote members of a group not actively healing or tanking.

AH: Auction House

LoL: Laugh Out Loud

ROFL: Roll On Floor Laughing

IRL: In Real Life

IMHO: In My Humble Opinion

PvE: Player vs. Environment

PvP: Player vs. Player

OMW: On My Way

CC: Crowd Control

FTW: For The Win

FTL: For The Lose

Nerf: To make worse or weaken, usually in the context of weakening something in order to balance out the game.

QQ: Cry More. Looks like eyes with tears.

Pwn: Owned.
